The Otago Daily Times & Witness. Christmas Number, 1934.
The Otago Witness ceased publication in 1932 and the Christmas issue reverted to its original designation of the Otago Daily Times & Witness, whilst becoming the ‘Christmas Number’ (instead of ‘Annual’).
The 1934 artwork is by the well-known Christchurch-born artist Russell Clark (1905-1966), who worked as a commercial artist in Dunedin during the 1930s, including for the printing firm John McIndoe.
